#ULOG - TRAVEL - Come on Historic Trips, To CU Chi Tunnel, Vietnam

in #travel7 years ago

Hello, this is my post when the Traveling to Vietnam, precisely in Chu Chi Tunnel,

We and my family, visited Chu Chi Tunnel, one of the must-see attractions while on holiday to Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City). I recommend using local tour. We bought a tour at Pham Ngu Lao the day before. Tour was picked up in the hotel lobby, then spinning to pick up some other guests. Just for information, if you book a tour, make sure you are ready in the lobby at that hour, because some of the hotels are evil, they will deliberately prevent guests from joining the tour in cooperation with the hotel, so when we still breakfast, and the tour came, they will not deliver so that eventually the guest is left by tour operators.

Travel to Chu Chi Tunnel about 1.5 hours. There are two tourist sites namely Ben Duoc and Ben Dinh with different paths. What we were visiting at that time was the more popular one, Ben Dinh. Enter the gate, we will be invited to watch a documentary film contained in some 'booth'. There is a large sailing television, then we watch the struggle of the Vietnamese people against the invaders. Some American tourists look a bit hot, because here looks very anti-American, and tells the heroics of Vietnamese troops and the crime of American troops. (Though usually in Hollywood movies, Rambo is good, Vietkong are evil)

When finished watching, then the entourage started down the location, shown the form of water channels and air that has been cemented for tourists, the original more natural and not visible. Explained in wartime, this region is heavily planted with traps and mines. There is a tank carcass which has been destroyed by Vietcong soldiers, also some mannequins (statues) of Vietnam warriors

We can see the traps made by the Vietnamese army to dispel the enemy, wah many different types and terrible ... Less is more similar to what we see in the Vietnam war movies. Starting from a pointed bamboo trap, door traps, and much more

Visitors can also feel the entrance into the tunnel (which must have been enlarged diameter, cemented, and facilitated access). It is quite exciting to feel entering into one tunnel and appearing in another tunnel, where inside the tunnel also branches out into other tunnels. Exciting… !!! But not recommended for those who can not stand the narrow room (Claustrophobia)

Visitors (surely a slim body like me :)), can also feel the entrance to the tunnel that has not been too enlarged. It was so unbelievably narrow that the Americans could not get into the tunnel

So my trip and family to Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City, hopefully can add a reference to all steemian ..

Nice post about your travel to Chu Chi Tunnel. I'm afraid I would not be brave to enter the tunnel because I am afraid of confined spaces! Nice to have you join us in steem schools!

Thank you for your support, lets travel with me

Hopefully we become good friends
