Koko Marina , is a marina in Hawaii Kai in East Honolulu located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
Being a marina, this paddle is a great paddle for beginners or people looking to hide from the winds & tides of Oahu.
This paddle offers a quick interior view of Hawaii Kai as well as gets you in Maunalua Bay for a paddle past outrigger canoes, fisherman, & the hustle & bustle of the boats of Hawaii Kai.

Getting There
This paddle/kayak is located in East Honolulu. So, coming from town, take the H1 East until it turns into Kalaniana'ole Hwy. Take a right into Maunalua Bay Beach Park.

Parking
Parking is free at the beach park, but it fills up when the outrigger canoe club there has practice (usually in the evening during weekdays & early morning on weekdays).

There are bathrooms & showers in Maunalua Beach Park.
There are also a lot of places to stop & get food around Koko Marina including Kona Brewing Company.

Cautions & Hazards
Tide
The tide here is the biggest concern. The bay is usually protected, but if it's low tide then definitely stay within the buoys that mark where the boats can go.
Wind
The wind can pick up here quite a bit & seems to almost get funneled through the canals.
This is especially the case in the wintertime. Check out the wind report before going out & you should be fine.
