Day 4. We got to give the skydiving a miss now. With the glacier hike in the morning and the trip down to Wanaka in the afternoon, that just isn't enough time. Since we are heading down to Queenstown, there's still a chance. As access to the glaciers are no longer available on foot since 2014, the only way to get up there is via a helicopter with a guided tour (Fox Glacier Guides is the one i went with). While it is a spectacle to see glaciers creeping through a temperate forest, it was also saddening to know that the glacier has since receded so much due to global warming.

After the hike, lunch was a simple fare at Lake Matheson. Surprisingly, the food is actually pretty good.
A long 3.5 hours drive to Wanaka, so we just had to stop somewhere to rest. We happened to stumble upon Blue Pools Walk along Highway 6.
It's called Blue Pools for a reason. So clear, so blue you see the bottom of the pool.
And the rest of the way... scenic drive down to Wanaka in the sunset.
