Featuring frozen sea, some gambling, and a mysterious sock.
Hey there!
I’m back and feeling well enough to finally get back to life and Dtube.
You’ve probably seen Reinis’ @art.visuals epic vlog of the Stockholm trip. His new channel’s debut is really successful, I am so proud of him and grateful of the the love and support @dtubedaily has shown.
Despite that our trip was quite brief, I still got so much material to show you!
So this is the first part of our trip - day one - when I was feeling quite energised, having spent two days on sleep-herbal-teas-repeat regime beforehand.
Here you’ll see some beautiful shots of Riga, and a brief insight into what you could find on this ship called ‘Romantika’ (Romance).
The ferry has been coursing for around 20 years, and it’s a logical way to go to Scandinavia if you like to travel by car (I’ve been on such travels with my family a couple of times to Sweden & Norway), and large parts of the ship’s facilities hasn’t been changed since that.
Travelling with a ferry is absolutely exhausting. We spent in total around 36 h trapped in that place! There is nowhere really to go, except to circle around the facilities in two floors, watching the memory of the glam 2000s reflected in the interior design. Either you go to the shop, or to the ‘dance club’, or the ‘pub’, or ‘casino’, in all cases, you’re gonna spend a lot of money.
So what other way to lose money than gamble!
Just kidding, my brother actually won a bit.
We were looking for something to entertain us, so we wanted to try what the entertainment has to offer.
Sadly, we missed the start of the bingo game.
The dance club, for example, was so empty and lifeless that it looked like a glittering joke.
When an event happens (a lottery or a bingo game) on the ‘main stage’, every other place is empty. But all the party happens in the cabins - where a group of people squeeze into one and abuse alcohol in groups.
My annoyance was intensified exactly because of this. It happened so that our nearest cabin neighbors were rude and rowdy bunch of adolescents that chose to be especially loud in the night.
Due to the lack of proper rest, my health got worse, and I wanted to go home on the first night already.
Trying to fall asleep, while there is a booming party right underneath your bed and savages at the other side of the wall.
Anyway, I enjoyed the company, and it seems that me and Reinis could survive and have fun in any conditions, and it was great to have spent time with by brother, too.
See you in the next part, where you’ll see the Baltic sea in morning glory, our adventures in Stockholm, and some behind the scenes of @art.visuals video making!
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have the best time. It's hard to deal with disrespectful drunk people sometimes.
In saying though, the view looks amazing and you and Reinis are so damn cute! 💗
It was sad that this trip made me want to complain, and I prefer to avoid complaining. 😄
I saved the best views for the second part!
Aww, thanks! We are! 💕
Thank you for sharing the beginning of your trip with us. Waiting to see more :)
Thanks, Laura! I appreciate it :)
hahahah that sock!
Digged the vlog vibes @art.life. The ferry looks quite epic actually even though no one was really hanging out in it.
You two are so great :D
Thanks! 😊
Ahh, no, not really worth to spend so much time on that party boat!
I know, we're special. 😄
So the ferry seems to be just a huge drunk party boat!
EXACTLY!
We went only because we got the tickets for free. 😄
