I’m back! Hello there Steemians! It’s now time for me to share the 2nd part of my family’s trip......
WELCOME TO BANTAYAN ISLAND!
So this is me, in Paradise. Literally guys, the resort’s name is Paradise. This picture of mine just shows how grateful I am to be in such a marvelous place.
For you information, Batayan Island is in Cebu, Philippines and is made up of 3 municipalities namely: Bantayan, Madrijeros and Santa Fe. Santa Fe is where we spent our 3-day vacation. It is known for its beautiful sunrise and fine white sand beach.
You know what, going to Bantayan Island is not that easy because you will surely be having long hours of travel. As for our experience, it took us almost 5 hours to get in there. Long hours of travel might sound tiring, but I assure you that once you got there, everything pays off! You will feel rewarded by the charm of the island as a whole.
Now, let me tell you how we got into that resort. First, we rode a bus going to Hagnaya Port in the town of San Remigio and from there, rode a ferry going to Bantayan Island.
See, this one was the ferry that got us there
(relaxing fresh air and sea breeze while riding on the ferry)
We arrived in Santa Fe at around four in the afternoon. Coucou Lounge, the hotel that accommodated us there fetch us with a shuttle from the island’s port. The hotel may be non-beachfront but the place was indeed wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. They offer free wifi and most importantly, served us with delicious foods. Rooms are all air conditioned with 2 beds, colored television, bathroom and comfort room.

The next day and the much awaited day, we toured around and our first stop was in the place where they shoot the Filipino film “Camp Sawi” (a good movie to watch). We did not stayed there for long, we just took photos there.
fascinating right?
Then after much selfies and group pictures, we headed to the resort they call Paradise. I never thought that it will take us a very long walk, like 30 minutes or more, to get there. That may sound so tiring also but when we got there, I had nothing else to say but IT IS SURPRISINGLY BREATH TAKING! The place is worth the long walk!
(here we are walking)
and then.... TADA!
Fortunately, there was no other person in the resort aside from the care taker so it looks like me and my family rented the whole resort.
Look at us, one big and happy family! :)
We stay there for a while then we left to have our lunch. I already forgot where we ate but the foods were also good! Then after we had our lunch, we went to Bantayan market to buy different kinds of dried fish (danggit, dilis, and daing). The market was full of sea foods and souvenir items. You may find there vendors of authentic pearls fresh from the sea.
Shopping was a bit tiring so to refresh ourselves and feel relaxed, we went to Ogtong Cave Resort by Santa Fe Beach Club, another fascinating resort in the island.
(infront of the reception area)
It is one of the most visited place in Bantayan because of its white sand beach and coral rocks. The resort is somehow elevated that gives the people a fantastic view of the blue ocean.
The resort has spacious tropical garden and it has swimming pools divided into two: for kids and for adults.
But here’s the thing, they have there a cool and refreshing cave – The Ogtong Cave.
I had so much relaxation and refreshment swimming and dipping in the cave because of its pure and clean water. Very perfect for tropical temperature! As we were informed, inside the cave is I think more than 5 feet long if I'm not mistaken. But we weren’t able to go more inside because It was already dark and I am kind a scared of dark places. We just stayed where the sunlight can reach us.
We had a lot of time swimming, enjoying, bonding and picture taking, until we have to go back to the hotel.
On our way back, we were full of joy for experiencing such a splendid nature and sea that God has created.
.........
That ends our vacation in Bantayan Island. The next day, we went back to Cebu city and took a rest for 2 days before we travelled back in Manila.
To sum it all, our Cebu trip as a whole is unforgettable and priceless, especially I was with my family! I hope we will be back there because there’s still more in Cebu that I want to experience!
Thank you for being with me as I reminisce one of the best experiences I had in my entire life.
Til’ the next trip!
