I took a little break and drove up to Iron Creek Lake this last weekend. Went up for an afternoon.
Iron Creek lake is nestled away in the Black Hills a little bit south west of spearfish. It’s a small lake with Trout, blue gill and perch to fish for.
There is cabin rentals and campsites available. The gravel road to get there is quite rough as the road is also used as a haul road for loggers
I have a lot of fond memories at this little lake. Spent a lot of quality time here in the summer when we were children.
Today just relaxed and watched the grandchildren fish and swim as they build some Iron Creek memories of their own.
As fall colors peak over the next 2 weeks this spot will be even more beautiful. It’s a nice little hideaway.
