If you read my introduction post, or even if you didn´t I´ll just go ahead and tell you, I'm from the gorgeous city of Enseada, located all the way to the Northwest part of Mexico, just south from California, US, in the state of Baja California.
What makes this small city of no more than 600,000 habitants you may wonder? My answer would be EVERYTHING.
Ensenada is one of the most important ports in Mexico, we are completely surrounded by the coast and we can enjoy a beautiful, clear sea sight from almost anywhere in the city.
Fishing is key at Ensenada and let me tell you that there really is no other like the seafood you will taste here. Truly amazing. I have not closed myself to tasting other types of sea food around the world but the one we have there is seriously original in cooking and incredibly tasty!
You can enjoy the day at the beach throughout summer and, as i previously told you you can get to the beach from pretty much anyone in no longer than 10 minutes.
One of the main highlights of Ensenada is its Valley, The Valley of Guadalupe, where about 90% of the mexican wine is made and produced. The vineyards, ranches, and overall nature of the valley will most definitely steal your heart. Most of the visiting places have a seriously insane architecture, amazing tasting menus and OF COURSE, some of the best wines you will taste.
Within the city the gastronomical tour continues, with a numerous amount of options of restaurants and bars with a beautiful bohemian vibe and yummy menus. Most of them live by the ideology of entree menus where everyone can order to the center and all can have a taste of pretty much everything. I mention it because I love ordering like that.
Ensenada´s people is also worth mentioning. You will receive a gentle and kind treatments pretty much everywhere, making your stay a pleasant one.
If you were ever worried by the weather you should not be, we have warm weather and cold weather pretty much every day, but it is always at a pretty comfortable measure.
These are only some key points of why you should visit the beautiful port of Ensenada, but soon I will go intro full detail about them
What are you waiting for?
Cris.
