我们来了之美国游记 Part 4--初见纽约。United States, here we came! part 4-- New York City first impression.

From the west to the east, after five hours flight, we finally landed in New York city. When we walk out from the airport, a big apple sculpture caught my eyes. Big apple is a lovely nickname for New York.
从西部到东部长达五个小时的飞行,终于落地纽约。一出飞机就看见了大苹果的雕塑，这是纽约可爱的别名。

纽约叫大苹果好像有4种不同的说法：纽约的苹果产量一直很少。但是有一年，加州的苹果产量严重下滑，于是纽约的苹果及时补充给加州，挽救了严重缺货的窘况，得到全美的陈赞，所以叫大苹果；
New York is called the big apple and it looks like there are four different versions of it: Apple has been producing very little in New York. But one year, apple's production in California fell sharply, so the apples produced in New York added it to California in time to save this serious shortage of goods, and get the praise of USA. So New York is proud of called the big apple.

另一个传言在经济大衰退的时候，许多曾经的有钱人事业衰败，必须以卖苹果为生，在纽约的城市里，也随处见到苹果树，所以政府强力推行这个词语代表纽约；
Another rumor at the time of great recession, many wealthy business decline, they have to make a living by selling apples. In New York City, there are many apple trees everywhere, so the government implemented the word on behalf of New York;

第三种说法是1920到1930年爵士乐非常火热，有爵士歌手唱道；成功树上苹果何其多，但如果你挑中纽约市，你就挑到了最大的苹果！
The third saying is about jazz was very hot in 1920 and 1930, and there were jazz singers singing; There are many apples on the tree of success, but if you choose New York City, you will find the biggest apple!

最后一种说法是，大约在50多年前，美国的爵士乐师们到各地去巡回演出，乐师们把所有要去的城镇，都描述成树上的苹果。

时代广场位于曼哈顿西部与百老汇大道的交汇处。这里聚集了无数的商场和剧院，是最热闹的娱乐和购物中心，当然也是纽约的标志。
Times square is located at the intersection of west Manhattan and Broadway. There are countless malls and theaters. It is the most lively entertainment and shopping center, and of course it is the logo of New York logo.

站在时代广场，时尚大都市的气息扑面而来，人潮汹涌的街道让人感觉到了香港，或者是北京的王府井。
Standing in times square, the breath of the fashionable metropolis has come to the surface. And the surging streets have made people feel like Hong Kong, or the WangFuJing in Beijing.

无论白天还是黑夜，街道两旁的霓虹广告和大屏幕宣传板都非常耀眼，这仿佛就是曼哈顿强烈的都市性格特性。
The neon signs and billboards on both sides of the street, they are dazzling no matter in day and night, as if it were Manhattan's strong urban character.

这里每天大概有七万人次的人流，不同肤色不同民族的行人来来往往，让这里24小时都是最热闹的时刻。
There are about 70,000 people every day, and people with different colors and ethnicities come and go, making this place 24 hours busy.
时代广场每年最有名的活动就是新年倒计时，每到辞旧迎新的时刻，都会有超过50万人汇集在这里，共同跨年享受狂欢夜的喜悦。
Every year, the most famous event in times square is the countdown to the New Year, where more than half a million people come together to enjoy the joy of the night of the New Year.

那黄色的出租车仿佛是纽约这座城市行走的标签，也是城市里最亮丽的风景线。
The yellow cab seemed to be the label of the city, and also the most beautiful scenery in the city.

选择在紧临百老汇的好莱坞意大利餐厅用餐真是意外地惊喜。满墙的经典老电影照片让人热血沸腾，老式唱机一直在吟唱着各种电影插曲。当儿时唱的“Cue sera，sera”的歌声飘起，顿时感觉一阵暖流流过全身。
It was a surprise to choose a Hollywood Italian restaurant on Broadway. The wall of the classic old movie is a blood boiling, the old record player has been singing various movie interlude. When the song I have sang as a child "Cue sera, sera" come out, it felt a warm current flowing through my body.
