A national park lying in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada mountains, east of the city of Visalia, California. The park is famous for giant mammoths growing there, including the largest tree in the world named General Sherman tree. In addition to hiking, camping, fishing and hiking, the popular attractions of the park are:

  • Tunnel Log - an overturned redwood with a cross-hollowed passage for cars.
  • Crystal Cave - protected from 1918 and one of at least 240 known park caves; is the only cave available for sightseeing.
