TripFM #49: The first days of spring on the Southern Ural, Russia, 2018 (36 pics)

Two weeks ago, I drove again one of the favorite routes in the Southern Ural, from the city of Katav-Ivanovsk to the village of Verkhniy Katav. The road goes along the river among pine and birch forests.
In this post, I would like to show you the beginning of spring in the Southern Ural.



The first stop is a popular vacation spot called the First Rock. On the frozen and snow-covered river, people ski and snowmobile, and in summer is a small beach here.





The pine forest is close to the river.



Picnic spot.









What could be more beautiful the beginning of spring in the sunny day in the forest where only you and birds?









The road.



The river as another road.



I drove into the forest a little, and it is already impossible to drive (on my car).



In the distance is visible the summit of the mountain Grand Helmet, the highest mountain of the Zigalga mountain range.



The village of Verkhniy Katav from afar.









Next to the village right on the road is stored a harvested forest.





It's a regular winter road across the river.



There is also a modern bridge ...



... and the old wooden bridge.



Near the bridge you can see a ice-hole, the local people take water here.



As in all mountain rivers, it is clean drinkable water.

On the way back, I took a few pictures of the snow-covered river again ...







... and then I found this picturesque tree.
