Buda & Pest
Do you want to know where Budapest (Hungary) gets its moniker from? Two districts make up the city (actually 4 or more) that is split by the Danube River - Buda and Pest. Buda is on the left here of the panoramic image, highlighted by the Buda castle. Just across the Szechenyi Bridge is Pest, the soul of Budapest (where all the fun nightlife is).

It is one of our favourite excursion spots besides Margaret Island, the Buda Hills, or the Kopaszi Dam. 😍
Yeah I would have made a few more stops at Margaret Island but I was too busy at the Sziget Festival to even bother (at that time) lol.

I never managed to get there when I was living in europe. It's on my list for sure!
Been to many cities in Europe...this one just seems to be the one that gives the most ROI on photos :) I can't say for the rest of the country though.

This is my favourite city so far. You're right that Pest is the soul. I loved that city so much that I came back with a tattoo of the freedom statue and szabadsag written on my arm. Beautiful shot.
