On the highest point of North Styria in Slovenia @adamicelli

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

On christmas i went on a hike to the mountain Boč, which is the biggest mountain in Styria and the last one for at least 200km to the northeast and east.

Boč, which is among the southernmost extensions of the Karawanks mountain range.

The Slovenian Kamniško-Savinjske Alps

From the mountain you can see the majestic valley of Dravinja with its unlimited supply of hills and forests and the Slovenian Alps.

From here on starts the Pannonian Basin.

.

I made some photos of the top, where is a huge transmitter on which you can climb and be on top of the valley.

This area was once an important place in history, as it was on a trading route from the Roman Times till the Yugoslavian country. In the last years, the unemployment rate went up, but has declined in the last 5 years thanks to the European union and its near distance to Austria. The tourism sector is still in development, so if you want to have an unique Slovenian experience, this would be a great time. In the future we will see a lot more tourists.

Keep Steemin!
