In the Gorge Desfiladero in Malaga (Spain), we find this beautiful place of which I imagine you have heard.
The trail was built to communicate the waterfalls between both sides of the path and that operators could access from one side to another.
With the passage of time this emblematic place where many hikers and adventurers went back to it deteriorated. There were several accidents that cost the lives of four people so their access was closed under heavy fines of up to 6,000.- euros.
In 2014, a reconstruction process began and in 2015 it was reopened to the public.
The King's path has a linear route of 7.7 km. It is not circular so you must return to your starting point by your own means, although there is a bus service.
You can start in Ardales or in Alora. We started it in Ardales and I recommend doing it better because at the end the slope is downhill and after the road is appreciated.
The tour can be made between three and four hours depending on what you are looking at to contemplate the grandeur of the place where you are. The path is in a natural park where the walls that surround you make you feel a sense of vertigo that you can not avoid. The footbridges you walk on and the hanging bridge at 105 meters are complicated for someone with reduced mobility.
It is a place that will surely impact you and that I advise you to visit.
