This is where the shopping road is. - Vivo City
This is where people mostly go to go to Sentosa.

I stayed in Chinatown during my last visit. Pretty cool, coz I surrounded with many food stalls and shopping centers.
That'll be great, I would love to. You think a quick dinner is okay? I will go shopping and it takes me a lot of hrs to buy stuff I like.. hehe... I'll let you know once I booked my ticket and hotel.

Chinatown is nice for food.
For something with fireworks will probably be expensive.
There is usually countdown events around the bay area. So, you may want to check place like Pan Pacific, Marina Mandarin and Mandarin Oriental.
Of course higher end places will be Marina Bay Sands, The Fullerton and Fullerton Bay Hotel.
