I visited Malaysia in June 2014 for the first time, then I went there again in 2015. and this time, I saw the baby again. for my first two trips, I obtained visa offline from the consulate in Karachi(PAKISTAN's city) through a travel agent. but for this recent tour, I applied for Malaysia evisa online and got it within two working days. and I’m sharing the experience with you.
How to apply for Malaysia evisa online?
it’s a very straightforward process to apply for Malaysia evisa online on a Pakistani passport. but it also has some requirements. Malaysia currently offers evisa to a limited number of countries which luckily include Pakistan as well. please visit the following official government website to apply for evisa to Malaysia:
Malaysia evisa official website
on this website, click “I’m New” if you are new, and it’ll take you to a page where you’ll have to provide your basic information such as name and address. you’ll also provide an email and password in order to access your account in future. after you created your account, you’ll then be able to apply for evisa to Malaysia.
Requirements for Malaysia evisa
There are a few requirements that you must provide in order to successfully submit the evisa application. if you don’t provide the documents asked in the application then it might be unsuccessful. if you mistakenly submitted a wrong document then don’t worry, they’ll ask you to send the correct one. I myself did a mistake by providing a wrong return flight document. they contacted me back via email and then I provided the correct flight details.
but if you do it right at the first place then there will be no delays in processing your application for evisa to Malaysia by the immigration authorties of that country. and I always say this; please check the official website for up to date information and regulations about visas and passes.
here is the list of required documents for evisa to Malaysia. and you have to upload these documents in electronic format to the online visa application.
Bank statement should generally be Rs200,000 minimum. but the more it is, the better. it cost only $31 USD which you can pay online through credit card or debit card during the application. and the processing time is usually two working days. the online visa application is processed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I don’t know why it’s processed in Saudi Arabia instead of Malaysia.
After arrival in Malaysia
First of all, the airline will let you board the flight with Malaysia evisa, then you’ll reach Malaysia airport and you should take a printout of the evisa that you received via email, show that to the immigration officer, he/she will check it and authenticate it and then they’ll stamp your passport. that’s how I experienced it without any hassle.
Welcome to Malaysia, a beautiful Muslim country in Southeast Asia near Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. I always love this country due to its strategic location in Southeast Asia as well as tropical weather. and also don’t forget to share this post with others.
