Hello steem family and friends..Hope you guys well. Today i am writing about on very serious topic...
The word 'SIDR' means 'eye'. In fact, it is one kind of cyclone.
The ever worst cyclone called 'SIDR' hit 12 districs of Bangladesh including Barisal, Bagerhat, Barguna, Pirojpur, Jhalkathi at midnight on 15th of November, 2007.
The velocity of the wind was upto 240km per hour.Great danger signal number 10 was announced and many people were taken to safe shelters earliar. So the loss of lives was not so much. Yet the number might be more than 10,000.
But the it caused great loss of crops, tress and domestic and wild animals...
The loss is irreparable.The worst affected area was the Sundarbans.
The loss is beyond estimation. The government immidiately took steps to minimise the loss of lives, animals and properity. Still now we can see the pathetic science of SIDR if we visit the regarded areas.
REST IN PEACE thoese people who were died by SIDR.
