Ripple Asia-Pacific Regulatory Relations Director Sagar Sarbhai told CNBC yesterday that the company's xRP-enabled product xRapid will be live "in the coming months". For the course of XRP, this could be a huge boost.
Sagar Sarbhai told CNBC that he is confident that xRapid will be productive soon.
I am very confident that over the next few months you will see some good news from which we bring the product live to production.
Unlike the company's other products, xRapid uses the XRP cryptocurrency. XRapid is currently in a test phase. However, a number of companies have already tested xRapid for cross-border payments in pilot projects in recent months. As Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple explained, several tests by financial institutions on the US-Mexico payment corridor have shown that savings of up to 70 percent compared to previous costs are possible.
So far, there are a total of ten companies that have publicly announced that they are conducting an xRapid test project, or already three companies that are using xRapid productively to send cross-border payments.

When it goes live I think we'll see a nice bump, but nothing even close to what a lot of people on here seem to think imho. I'd be happy to see it double - $0.60 by EOY. When the SEC and Japanese gov. rule and give clarity it's not a security is when we will begin to see some lift off because that's when the real BIG money will start to flow in. I think it's fine to dream, and I certainly do, but I try to keep it real and keep my expectations low. I do that primarily to protect myself and in doing so I will be very happy when it shoots above what I had predicted. As I have mentioned before, I believe a lot peeps here are going to look foolish and be butthurt by eoy with their outlandish price predictions - i.e., they're setting themselves up for disappointment. Honestly, I am hoping it stays low for months and the weak hands fold so I can continue to add to my stacks. My crystal ball tells me spring 2019 is when we will start to see what we all are hoping for and by summer to the end of 2020 is when it's Villa by the seaside, Bentley Time, Boats n Hoes :P
The real importance is "they are going to use the XRP cryptocurrency." Other banks have employed Ripple technology without using the coin itself. It is the adoption of the currency that will drive real value in the long run IMHO. HODL everybody!!

It will boost the price more, xrp is already 20 % up. I think it's the best time to invest in xrp.
just in 48 hours, XRP gone up over 50%. its quite a good news. now should be the right time to buy in.
I did not know about xRapid this is going to be a Ripple payment application or it is another independent new currency lately I am in the cloud I am deactivated on news of the world of cryptocurrencies
It is there product so XRP can be transfered between banks.

Happy to know thy are launching their product, It will boost their economy and people interest in XRP. no many alt coin are there with product.
I sold my Btc and Eth about 3 months ago to buy Xrp. Wanted to do it before the rest followed. I think it's starting to happen now. Cut my losses before it was worth less. It makes sense. Last bull run was just driven by speculation.
Next bull run will be driven by adoption. It's a no brainer. Xrp will be no 1.

The fact that XRP jumped from good news while BTC lost slightly is very encouraging. It might not be a decouple, but it shows that the promise of XRP utiliy can affect the price of XRP regardless of what "the king" is doing.
Once actual utiliy hits, via XRapid, hopefully the market will rally around XRP and people realize who the true king of utiliy is.
CNBC guy = a total douche. Classic mainstream fake news, inventing a false-nerriative then playing the victim when people call them out.

xrp has not been damaged that much as compared to other altcoins, so the prospect for xrp is really good and good time to invest also.
XRP is quite stable compare other coin, as in their capital are control by centralise system, plus its back by strong financial institution and developer.
