We are working on building a gateway at the moment that will allow us to inform potential users about our community rules before they join, and also remove the need for a publicly accessible master URL to access the Slack. We have hit a few small roadblocks, once thats fixed we will be opening the doors again - at which time I hope you ask the same question in the Slack.
There is one thing we need help with - we need someone who knows how to implement BrianWilliams in Slack so we can have a dedicated read-only channel for FAQs, permanent info, and announcements. If you have any knowledge, please let me know once you get the opportunity to join when the doors open.
