Yetim Ali'nin acılarını bilirmisiniz,
Babası bırakıp gitmişti karamsarlığa,
Yetim dediler o günden sonra,
Elinden tutan yoktu saplanırken bataklığa,
Handan ablanın neler çektiğini bilirmisiniz,
Hacının oğludur diye bir zalime verdiklerini,
Genç yaşında göçtü gitti de,
Kimseye anlatamadı çektiklerini,
Ah Hasan amca, ondadır hikayenin en acısı,
Oysa bir karıncanın dahi ahını almamıştı,
Bütün sevdiklerini alıp giderken o yangın,
Elinde tek bir anı, fotoğraf bile kalmamıştı,
Güzel hikayeleride vardı bu şehrin,
Her gece evler şenlenirdi komşularla,
Akşam ezanlarına kadar oynardı çocuklar,
Sokaklar henüz sarılmamıştı korkularla,
Çok şey yaşadık bu şehrin çıkmazlarında,
Öğrendik artık her türlü acıya güleriz,
Eskiden kalma bir alışkanlık bizimkisi,
Ölüleri gecenin tenhasında gömeriz...
