Topic: Link to the lates message
Every forum has it : a small button linking to the latest message placed just after the topic title. Alternatively, the "latest reply" column date/time can point to the latest post.

@reggaemuffin, @dtre - what if `Yesterday at 6:48 AM' becomes a hyperlink to that latest message?

It is done this way on phpbb, in addition to a small icon besides the latest message author name.
