@chrisaiki ok perfect, it wasn't clear that funding was required, would be interesting to know how the funding would be used and how much would be applied for.
@chrisaiki I just realised this is the incorrect forum section for this, we are in the Funding proposal section meaning formal funding proposals for the upcoming SPS.
Been thinking about starting up some local meet ups in my city...
But would love to know if anyone has had success with these kind of events. I know the London Steem community do these regularly, as well as the promo-steem group...
Any feedback or ideas would be great. I've never done a meet up but think it could attract some attention these days with all the Facebook Libra hype :)
@jongolson, I haven't done meetups myself but other people have. I think a general blockchain meetup is good, if you brand it Steem you will likely battle to get other crypto supporters to come. So call it a Bitcoin or Blockchain meetup and then be ready to promote Steem subtly when they get there.
