Hey there! First TokenBB post.
I would suggest to add either a trending button or a "order topic [asc/desc] based on replies".
What do you guys think?

I think the best solution to that question in form of what is the user's request is sorting by the volume of last 2 weeks.
That's a timespan that will lead to major topic that are not disccussed in last days (cause they could be technical or for other reasons) to still be highlighted for users, while not having a trending that changes too fast

Hmmm a sliding two week window might be complicated. We could do a: From all topics in the last two weeks, sort by replies

Trending is definitely an interesting metric. The question is how should it be defined.
We could do a sorting by top performers overall. We could do the last month. Or by volume in the last day.
I think the question would be what users want to see when they click that button. What goal do they want to achieve?

Trending was meant by amount of replies or views. We won't sort anything by payout, that is for sure :)
that is the goal. But more views over two weeks or a month or globally?

To me, in the forum context, the trending should be based on earnings but on how engaged a post is...like a composite of the amount of replies and maybe total payout...with a heavier balance on how many replies.
The goal of forums is to create long form conversations that are active...not trending based on how has the bigger upvote.

Or make it like, the one with more replies or with more views etc.
