The first sentence I'd like to mention is that I personally prefer to say yes to anyone's request if I can as I don't want to leave people alone in a lurch. But besides that, there are some situations when saying ‘No' becomes compulsory. Saying no to others is really a difficult task. You may find it hard to say no to others. But your ability to say no to others defines your smartness. So, you should learn how to say no to the others.

• Make your vision clear: In most cases, we cannot say no just because we don't know a good enough reason to do that. Perhaps we just have a nagging feeling that this is not what we really want. But don't this feel cannot be expressed to others because they want to know the exact reason. That's why you need to make your vision crystal clear so that you can describe the real reason for saying No. think about it. Think about your expected outcome, justify the thing that has been offered and decide whether to say yes or no.


• Understand that saying no is not a bad thing: We may think that saying no to others is not a good thing. It may be harmful to our relations. But to be exact, it does no bad for your relationship if the person you are saying no is intelligent enough.


• Use the most comfortable communication method for you: you must use the communication medium to say know with which you are comfortable with. The comfortable communications may include messaging, face-to-face conversation, emailing, telephone calls and many more.

  
  

• Simplify it: The person you are saying no should be understood clearly about the reason for which you want to say no. provide a simple, short but accurate explanation. Don't try to over-explain the reason. It will be annoying for the other party.

  
  

• Show respect: Say no to the person keeping enough respect. Don't be harsh. Show respect to the other person.
