A lot has been asked over this subject but without any potential breakthrough over what is the actual law that time abide by. Many experts from the physics community point their fingers to the 2nd of law of thermodynamics, which is the entropy of the given system. it raises some good hypothesis and there are many permutations in explanining this to different peers.
Lets look at some examples of time going forward but never backwards
You wake up in the morning for your breakfast to cook fried eggs, You break the egg from the shell out comes the egg yolk in the frying pan into the oil to be cooked. Now can you do the exact reverse by un breaking the egg, puting the egg back into the shell into it's original state. Impossible even to attempt, This illustration has a strong correlation with entropy which in turn tell us that an organised system always leads to an unorganised system i.e. why the death cannot come back to live, why an egg cannot be unbroken, which is why time cannot go backwards.
It is a strange concept to debate because Newton's law and quantum mechanics gives us an understanding how our universe behaves and the charateristics that governs it. But unlike force or gravity, time does not seem to follow any law of physics that we experience today.
Newton's laws are incredibly fruitful at depicting the world. They clarify why apples tumble from trees and why the Earth circles the Sun. In any case, they have an odd element: they work similarly too in reverse as advances. On the off chance that an egg can break, at that point Newton's laws say it can un-break.
This is clearly wrong, yet almost every hypothesis that physicists have found since Newton has a similar issue. The laws of physics just couldn't care less whether time runs advances or in reverse, any more than they think about whether you're left-given or right-gave
Is it perhaps that time is an illusion, that maybe there is not past present or future but just the present. are we just standing still on the grand picture while the universe remains constant. Perhaps this is just a concept made to illustrate the greatest trick on our mind by telling us it exists. Where does time really come from, what is it made of, to answer these questions we have to take a deeper look in the world of quantum physics and observe the motion of the atoms.
