Liberation hurts. Leaving that shell in which you hide, that old skin that you still cling to, leaving your comfort zone. It's difficult to separate ourselves from all of the comforts that technology and everything around us offers you, to this day, we are more close than ever... But we are losing human contact. But this is nothing new.
You can be in a room full of people and still feel very lonely. Three out of five people will be on their phones frequently, checking their social networks, missing out on the moment, because a like, a notification, is more important than talking to your friends in person.
It would be almost crazy to deactivate your Facebook account, and all the social networks on your phone, isn't it? Well of course. Today, whether we like it or not, we are, in some way, we depend on them. We need them to keep in touch, even knowing that Facebook uses all our data to sell it to other companies without our permission.
When was the last time you put down your phone for a moment and decided to take a walk in a park and observe everything around you? Are we condemned to buy the new iPhone or a Samsung every year that it comes out on the market with the pretext that we must move forward and not be left behind?
Taking off from our daily comforts and doing things that seem undesirable at the moment is painful. That's why procrastinating is more pleasant. Not many people take responsibility for their actions or have the will to take charge of the things that they should do and their behavior. It hurts a lot leaving behind our bad habits in order to develop discipline.
Discipline does not mean to stop doing the things you like, it means knowing how to prioritize important things.
Discipline does not mean repressing yourself.
In a few words, first things first. Don't wait for tomorrow. The problem is that people think they have time.
