On September 17, 2017 a group of young and dynamic volunteers went to Brgy. Tambo, Piagapo, Lanao Del Sur to celebrate the birthday celebration of an individual donor in the person of Christine Buster, an OFW based in Tokyo, Japan. Instead of celebrating her birthday in a luxurious way, she donated an amount to let the Ranao Rescue Team in partnership with the Tapukan Farmers Movement for Progress and Concord,Inc. to gather 250 kids who are affected by the Marawi Crisis and have them play games and enjoy the fruitful expression of love and happiness from Ms.Christine.
When the group arrived at the place, they were welcomed by the local leaders and after that they moved on with their prepared games, tomato dance, pokpok palayok and Maria Went to Town. During Lunch, they were provided with packed meals(rice,bam-I and fried chicken) and juice. The group also distributed food supplements for the pregnant and lactating mothers, paracetamol syrup for the kids and a water solution to make their drinking water potable.
It's so amazing that the group that did not mind the threat of having the local terrorists around, that Anytime their presence would be visible. Truly, the love for the human kind did not perish despite the adversity. Ms. Christine Buster had shown so much love despite the emotional uncertainty because the venue has twice been affected. It has to be noted that on April 21,2017, the battle between the govt forces and the local terrorist took place in Piagapo and has displaced 1,000 families. And who would have thought that despite the fact that they were not yet process or emotionally addressed, they were able to host families that have been affected by the Marawi Crisis.
God is great.
God really find instruments to show His unconditional love for human kind.
