Our family LOVES Pitaya!!!
Actually, we had it for the first time in Asia and so I thought it was an Asian fruit. But it is from central America.

Once, while in South Texas, I found another low growing cactus that had spiky round fruit. Out of curiousity I carefully cut one open...AND..... pitaya!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, okay it tasted slightly different, but the two must be very closely related. Not at all like a tuna!!!
