The Sui network announced today the launch of zkLogin, a web 3 authentication solution that allows end users to login to decentralized applications with their web2 social accounts like Google, Facebook & Twitch.
Mr Greg Siourounis, Managing Director of the Sui Foundation said
By enabling users to access dApps with the social logins they have grown comfortable using, zkLogin removes a major hurdle for bringing the benefits of blockchain-based applications to billions of mainstream users.
zkLogin is a technology that leverages the zero-knowledge proofs to ensure privacy of sensitive user data. It enables seamless authorization of on-chain transactions utilizing familiar credentials like Google or Facebook.
The new feature is now available to all Sui developers. They can incorporate it into their decentralized applications (dApp).
