At a minimum a witness is a guy running a server that helps build the blockchain, which is all the information getting stored around here. I tend to also think of it like a true elected position. Like a steemit senator. Gotta help people and help the platform.

how do you get votes, simply by participating in the community as you already are- and then stating your intention to be a witness. then just community members hook u votes or can only witnesses give u votes? can i vote for you? thanks for responding bru
