A thesis is an academic piece of paper which students have to submit as a part of their course. A thesis can stretch to thousands of words and take a long time to get completed. It is one of the most difficult parts of the course but is also the most rewarding. It is a teacher’s way of analyzing a student’s research and analytical abilities. It also develops questioning and illustrative skills in a student which are helpful when they enter the practical world.

One of the most important parts of a thesis is the thesis statement. It defines the purpose of the thesis in one or two sentences. It has the ability to structure and control the entire argument. 5. Be Clear – The statement should be absolutely clear and crisp. The reader should easily understand what you want to convey. Avoid using technical words which are not familiar with your audience. Also, don’t use vague or abstract words, such as interesting, values, etc.

6. Keep It original – Your statement should never be copied, neither should it be a generic argument or a formula statement. Make it original such that it reveals your real ideas.

7. Keep Revising – You should not end the thesis statement in one go. You may need to revise it again and again as you proceed with the work. Keep reviewing it yourself, or you can ask your friends or relatives to guide you if your thesis statement makes a perfect sense. You should keep on revising it until it is perfect.

A well-designed thesis with perfectly crafted thesis statement is a real treat to the reader. It shows your enthusiasm and attitude towards your work.
