What is the Mandela Effect?
The Mandela Effect is a theory suggesting that we travel between parallel universes and we all have memories from each however the most dominant memory stays in our minds.
How it was noticed
A author named Fiona Broome, first thought of the theory when she had heard that Nelson Mandela had died in 2013. She had thought that he died in prison years before, she did not think much about this until she heard others had the same memory. Hence the name the Mandela Effect.
Examples
You picture the lovable Mickey Mouse with some nice red shorts and red braces. However if you look he has never even had braces holding up his shorts.
Also the beloved robot from Star Wars, no not R2D2 but C3PO has never been all gold. In fact he has always had a silver shin on his right leg.
And finally, the famous line from the Star Wars franchise... 'Luke, i am your father' is not actually what was said but instead 'No, I am your father'.
