Gospel à la carte; the neo-heretic tendency

in #theology7 years ago

Hello dear friends of the wonderful world steemit. Today I want to share this brief reflection on the flexibilization of the gospel today.

While it is true, the gospel has always been the same from the beginning. However, at present it is intended to mold the gospel to the measure and demands of man. Jesus and Paul, like other apostles, emphasized the importance of remaining faithful to the true gospel, without fluctuating or requiring "another gospel" other than that instituted by God. Paul in the letter to the Galatians chapter 1 verse 9 warns: "But if even we, or an angel from heaven, announce to you another gospel different from that which we have announced to you, let him be anathema." This is precisely because of those who proclaimed a gospel whose baggage was far from genuine faith. The question that arises in this regard is: Could it be that a gospel is currently being preached according to the measure and whims of man? If so, with what intention is it done. Will it be to prevent the convert from carrying the true cross and filling the churches of parishioners without commitment where only the offering and tithing matter to make the flock a profitable business? The answer is associated with the interest of the one who preaches, because if it is a true believer he will preach the Gospel that demands from the Christian a true commitment, assuming that it is a matter of surrendering entirely to the Lord, on the other hand, if his intention is merely the mercantilist one. he will be determined to make the gospel more flexible so that it is not "burdensome".

Today we see how unfortunately in many churches a Jesus is preached that does not demand commitment or submission. They present him more as "corduroy" and not as Lord. That gospel on demand allows the aspirant to select the church to his liking without being repressed about the sinfulness of his life.

Fortunately there is still a faithful remnant whose biblical teaching is non-negotiable and maintains an intrinsic commitment with the Lord of the harvest, God. And he assumes that his Lord is Jesus Christ, who demands obedience to his Word.
