'The Ranks'

Hello everyone! As we are quickly closing in on the mark for our core members, things are being set in motion to start instilling syndicate leaders. If you are on discord with us, you'll notice a few names relative to a military rank. These are people that participated in a recent experiment ran by The Mad Scientist. The experiment itself was not about curating, but simply a way to gauge who was committed and to what extent. There was a lot asked of them. Tasks known in advance, that would take a full day just to complete. They were even asked to turn off their auto-voters. Then they were asked to comment and upvote upwards of a hundred times on a single post. Some did, some never showed, some backed out at seeing all the requirements and some dropped off half way through. So congratulations! Those few have made it through the Chocolate Factory. *LET IT BE KNOWN* We do not question the commitment of others, as we know we all have lives outside of Steemit, and time is not as available to one as it may be to another.

Before I delve too much into this next part: DO NOT APPLY OR ASK TO JOIN IF YOU COPY AND PASTE AND DO NOT GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. You will simply be ignored. We are a tight team of quality content creators and curators. We WILL NOT VOTE ON A PIECE OF DOO-DOO, run of the mill, my 4 year old could of done it - POST. Thank you for READING that.

We are being much more selective as to who we let into #thealliance as part of our goals are to bring value to the platform with quality posts. We're not saying that people can't go out and make it just fine without being a trainee, what we are saying, is that we are willing to help people **GET BETTER** and become **NOTICED STEEMIANS** in these oceans and waterways. We want you to get that notoriety! This is not Facebook where you share your yammering drama. This is not Instagram where you post random pictures (though SteepShot does allow that). This is not Twitter where a 10 word sentence drop-off will suffice to be considered 'quality content'. We give credit where it is due. With our assistance, those that become our trainees will hopefully take advantage of the collective experience we have and apply it to their posting capabilities. Guidance is what we are offering, it is up to you to capitalize on it.

Contests

#thealliance currently hosts three contests and supports several others. We have the daily cryptoguess contest, and two weekly ones, karaoke and the all new killerpix. We also support fellow allies' contests. @donatello has a dance contest, and @christheaudioguy does a resteem lottery. @buzzbeergeek supports & @detlev hosts the Beer Saturday contest. @mikepm74 did a meme challenge this week and has a writing contest. Also, @johleen does a selfie photo contest on Sundays. @ana-maria hosts a writing contest and @tpokpop just started a new Art contest. @vlemon does a weekly crypto lottery that's pretty interesting. We also are supporters of the Open Mic contest which is the oldest music competition here on Steemit run by @luzcyfer with full support from @pfunk & are entering a full year in weekly contests. They also support our Karaoke Contest and we have several members that compete regularly in Open Mic.
