Analog Holistic Photographer Part 04: Family Portrait on 8x10 Film, and How I Printed it On the Road

Disclaimer: Contains a Darkroom in a Camping Toilet and a Huge Dog!

The Krenn Family generously hosted the Nomadic Village 2015. During these amazing days I took this Portrait.

Then I spent the whole night developing and printing in The Galeria Nowhere Caravan:

In the toilet I installed my tiny darkroom. I use the enlarger to project light onto the photopaper, with the negative on top of it. Then it's developed in the print processor:

Note: As I use large format film, I can
put the negative directly on the photo paper.
I get a print exactly the size of the negative.

3 steps of rinsing, making sure no chemistry is left on the pictures:

And while it's slowly dawning the prints go up for drying:

It was a long night!

Atta boy klaus working in the toilet, thats dedication to your art.

Thanks @edthecanadian!
This dedication is the base for good work and a 'healthy' life. It is also the base for loosing friends who find me too extreme, have repeated confrontation with a restrictive system, but still smile in the end.

With such a small darkroom it's easy to see why you only take a few photographs! It must be a challenge to lay out all the dishes out.

Pretty cool buddy!
Very Nice!

I really enjoy your on the road work, thanks for sharing.

Such an interesting life and such an interesting post! Thank you for sharing!

I love the atmosphere of these photos. The camera is tops!
Following you from now on!

Very atmospheric pic of the family. It certainly is a labour of love isn't it? 😊

oh yes, indeed it is! People who welcome a camp of crazy artists (Nomadic Village, more on that in the future) are a very rare species in Austria. The Krenn family excelled in hospitality!
