I grew up in a place called Carmona (Goa-India)๐ during a time when everyone treated each other like Family ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆWe went outside to play on streets, build dens and make tree swings ๐ณ, we got dirty, bathed ๐๐ป.
on a Sunday we didn't eat fast food๐๐....we ate a Sunday dinner...proper home made food ๐ and chips cooked in a proper chip pan! we got ice cream ๐ฆfrom Amul or Baskin Robbins when we could afford it, otherwise a choc ice from the freezer. We played football โฝ๏ธ, kabaddi , Hide and Seek๐ and ๐๐ Made life long friendships and are still in touch with them today albeit not on a regular basis, but true friends. There was no bottled water ๐ฆ we drank water from the tap (bathroom tap at night)๐ฐ we shared the same bottle of pop... After we'd wiped it with our mucky sleeves, We only had kids tv after school and Saturday mornings ๐บ We rode our bikes ๐ฒ for hours ๐ฐ There was no such thing as a mobile ๐ฑ or any other electronic device ๐ต. If someone had a fight, that's exactly what it was... a fist fight๐. Kids didn't have guns๐ซ or knives๐ช. The street lights ๐กwere our curfew or until our mum shouted us. School was mandatory โ๏ธ๐. We watched our mouths around our elders๐ด๐ผ๐ต๐ผ because we knew we'd get a clip. Sayings like "What's for tea?" your guaranteed reply was shit with sugar on โwhere's Mum?" Run off with the milk man would be the answer. Nothing was too PC back then ๐ญ.๐ญ๐ฌ๐ซand you will never forget where you came from!
