While I too am grateful to live on this land called America, the federal reserve and a handful or supernational organizations run this country... might as well be a dictatorship (technically it is an oligarchy); the independent press is censored and mainstream media is nothing short of highly orchestrated propaganda; there is religious freedom unless you're a Muslim. People who smoke a plant do life in a cage while rapists get off with probation and politicians get away with far more heinous acts without consequence. They won't put you in a prison for speaking your mind here in this nation, because you're already in one - you just don't realize it. Still think you're free?
Being grateful is something that should be an all-encompassing part of your daily life; not to be confused for some national ideology. Each day should be a day of Thanks Giving. After all, isn't ironic that we celebrate a day of thanks only to be followed by a day of ingratitude and callousness called Black Friday? Look at all the marketing that goes into promoting Black Friday! When is the last time you saw a commercial promoting Thanksgiving? You hardly even seen food ads anymore - it's all Black Friday sales all week long!!!
Come buy shit we've been saving all year from China!! We're still making a killing and we could care less about you!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, but be mindful of that for which are you are grateful! And my advice is to go to the woods and spend time in nature this Friday.
