We went to Thailand from Cambodia by night bus. Taking minivan to Bangkok and then taking bus from Paya Thai to the city center for our guesthouse near Khaosan road. Then after check in and taking a shower we went out for dinner and go around Khaosan road and the Grand Royal Palace surrounding area. We also went to Tha Tien to see the Chedi of wat Arun at night.
On the next day , we went to the Grand Royal Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun and then we take the crossing boat from Tha Preah Chandra to get back to our guesthouse. When my wife was in a nap, I went to buy some history books near the Democracy monument. In the evening we went to Siam paragon area by Tok Tok and have dinner there. We took the sky train for 2 stations, because my wife want to try that, then we took off the sky train for a taxi to get us to Khao San road.
On the following day, we took taxi to Bang Sue for the train to Ayuthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand. On the train I talked with an old lady that she is from Nakhon Sovann, she comes to Bangkok to buy jeans for selling in her twin. She is 71 years old, she came with her husband who is 70 years old. They got married since she was 15 years old and they have 9 children. She keep doing the business and she needs to come to Bangkok in every 2 weeks, by picking night train and get back to her hometown in the morning. After 1h30min on the train, we reach Ayuthaya, we said good by to her and she blessed us with good luck. We left the station and went to a motor renting shop near there for renting a Zoomer motor for 200bath per day, and we had to refilled the fuel full when we got back. We went to our hostel, after check in and drop our stuff there, we started our tour in Ayuthaya. We went to visit Phneat Chhang, Wat Thammikaram, Wat Na Preah Maen, Wat Phou Khao Thong, Wat Chai Watnaram, Wat Phanan Cheung and Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon; and then we drop the motor back to the shop and take a ferry to our hostel. In the evening we went out for the night market and we tasted durian there as well.
On the next morning, we got up early to check out off the hostel and took a ferry to get out off Ayuthaya island for the train station to take a train to Don Meung international airport. We flighted from Bangkok to Siem Reap. After arrival, we took Tok Tok from the airport to the front of Angkor Wat for lunch and then we went by foot to go up to Ba Khaeng mountain before taking a bus back to Phnom Penh ;)
The trip was between 13th to the 16th of May 2018.
