Tesla founder Elon Musk just won a $50 million bet for building the world's largest lithium battery in 100 days. Musk bet Atlassian's Mike Cannon-Brookes over Twitter, saying he could build the battery in that time frame or it was free. The clock started ticking in September, when Musk visited Adelaide, Australia to sign off on the deal. South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill announced that regulatory testing would begin within days. The battery is part of the state's plan to secure energy supply following a blackout last year. Tesla's Powerpack is expected to carry power for 8,000 homes for 24 hours, or more than 30,000 houses for an hour, during a blackout, Business Insider says.
