The UK has urged leaders of the European Union (EU) to give a stay on breakage till June 30. British Prime Minister Terry Mee gave this information in Parliament on Wednesday before the EU conference going to be started in Brussels on Thursday.
Terrija May told that he wrote a letter to EU council president Donald Tusk and informed that the UK requires time for June 30 under Article 50. I said, 'I do not want much time. After three years of voting to leave the EU, I think the idea of asking the people of this country to choose a new MEP is unacceptable. As Prime Minister, I am not prepared to delay more than 30 June for the breakjid. '
Breakage support minister does not want long wait
According to the media report, the decision to seek a morale for the breakage was taken at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Many breakthrough supporters have indicated that if the delay is longer, then they can resign.
Junker warns
In response to Terry's letter, European Commission President Jean-Claude Junker has warned that if Britain wants a moratorium for the breakage, it will have to hold elections for the European Parliament.
