There is nothing new that the students in the classroom often bored. Few teachers but by doing something. Chinese Professor opted for unconventional solutions when their students scans their faces, to know whether they are bored.
But it is not guaranteed that the facial expression recognition function will always be one hundred percent. Students may also be nervous about being monitored or may be detected as bored while looking "normal".

Wei Xiaoyong teaches at Sichuan University and the face recognition system began to be used about five years ago, however, it was for a different purpose. Originally often forgot to check which students are present and who is missing, therefore the system was a great way to check attendance. The professor then said he got rid of tedious and time consuming task.
It detects the level of interest in the room and can adjust how he focus hid lessons. Professor Wei Xiaoyong teaches computer science, so he had no problem with this technology. Scanning facial expressions used by the professor to improve their teaching satisfaction should therefore occur on both sides. Students should be less bored and teachers should be satisfied with the results of their work.
