I posted recently about buying some gadgets with Steem Dollars. One of those items was a set of VAVA Bluetooth earbuds (I can't find a link apart from Amazon). These are my first wireless earphones and I've not used those that push into the ear canal much before.
I'm still getting used to them. They come with various sizes of tips and hooks. I'm using the smallest tips, but I'm still finding the best way to get them to fit well. The hooks hold them in too. I haven't run with them yet, but I feel they would be secure. It's going to depend a lot on the shape of your ears. I don't find them totally comfortable, but I'm persisting with them. Has anyone found that push in earbuds take a while to adjust to? You need a good fit to get the best audio quality, but I'm mostly listening to podcasts, so that's not too critical.
Technically they seem fine. Pair them with your phone and they just work with no extra noise or interference. They have magnets to join them when not in use so they can just hang around your neck. Battery life is several hours at least. I've not run them right down yet.
I can still hear what is going on around me and that's the way I like it. When walking or running you need that. I haven't maxed out the volume. I just don't need that and I value my hearing.
I picked these as the price (£23) seemed reasonable and they got good reviews (if those can be trusted).
I saw someone today with the Apple buds that have no wire between them. Those look too easy to lose. These at least have a clip you can use on your shirt to be extra safe. They are not so expensive that I would worry too much anyway.
What's in your ears?
I'm Steve, the geeky guitarist.
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
If this post is over seven days old you can vote up one of my newer posts to reward me.
I have these and use the medium tips. I use them all the time and get great battery life. I can't speak to the running performance, I don't run. I do however wear them while mowing my property and that can get very bumpy - no issues.
Thanks for the update. They seem well made, so I hope they last. I find wired buds wear out after a year or two
Plus I can stick my phone anywhere and not have to worry about wires. #winning
I just picked up a pair of these on the weekend. They're still unopened so I haven't found out how they feel.
I imagine you'll need to test them on a run or two as I expect perspiration...ok...sweat...might have something to say about your head space while running. Hope it works out for you as expected.

Has anyone tried "bone conduction" headphones?
They work by making tiny vibrations to your cheek bones and skull bypassing outer and middle ear. I´m curious, because I don't like to put anything in my ear. There are some models in Amazon.

I've not tried any of those. I would expect them to compromise on sound quality, but I'm prepared to be proved wrong
I think you're right, but the tech sounded so cool that I had to order cheap ones (30$) straight from China. It should take couple of weeks before they arrive. Once I get them, I will review them.
Nice to have mate, infact i've used earphones a lot in the past and trust me it did affect my hearing quite a lot!
Use with moderation will be my advice to you!
I don't have them too loud. I like to be aware of what is going on around me when I'm out and about
Then it's all good to use man! I was using them like crazy with loud music, well I was still young and wild lets say! Hahaha!
My hearing is very precious. My eyes are not great, so I need to keep at least one of the senses working
Hahahah! In my case, my ears are not great now, so my eyes are very precious! You are just amazing man!
Cheers
Btw no beer today!? It's saturday!
@progressivechef
I had some at the pub last night, but nothing special. It's a little early for beer today.
It's good that it clips to your shirt i have always had that concern of them being lost too easily @steevc
Those earbuds looks great. I am really excited to buy some physical thing with my steemit earning soon.
I need earbuds for my job so that I can keep working while fielding dozens of call that come in. With me they seem to last only about 2 months before the the connections get loose and at least one side stops working. I'm always looking for a better solution!
I rarely get a call. Not tried that aspect yet
These looks great hope it has a good bass effect
The bass may not be enough for some people. It depends on how well they fit you
in how much cost do you get ? $$ ?
From the link you can see they are £23
Really nice ! All the earbuds I have feel like a chore too put in they feel like there deep in my auditory canal. I'll definitely be purchasing these.
Well see what else is available. Try some if you can to check the fit
wow @steevc it's really cool!! Thanks for sharing with us I think I'll buy soon this one:)
Try some if you can to check the fit.
