If Computers Take Over Many of Our Tasks, What Will Humans Do?

in #technology7 years ago (edited)

Gradually computers are taking over many of our tasks. With the usage of digital tools and trained robots, humans have less to do as days go by. How will humans compensate for that? Read on for highlights.

The number 1 option for humans would be to enjoy life more and spend quality time with family. I once heard of a millionaire who worked for 15 days in a row in the middle of the year and he was free to enjoy life after that.

His work for the year was complete within those 15 days and those very tasks completed during the time would help his company to generate good revenues for the year. 15 days' work did the magic and he was free for the rest of the year.

Something similar would happen to all the humans over the course of twenty or thirty years from now. That's what I predict.

If it can happen to millionaires now, it can happen easily to the average human over two or three decades from now.

So what will humans do in so much spare time? Spending quality time with family, enjoying life and eating good food are all okay. But he still needs to feel important and do something that gives him the mojo of life.

It is completely up to the individual to decide. He can make his life more beautiful by pursuing hobbies and eventually converting them to lucrative careers. He can leave a big legacy for his family and even for his future generation(s).

On the other hand, he may get bored and start destroying his life by indulging in alcohols and beverages. This is something I strongly disapprove. Every human on this planet is important and has something great to contribute even in small amounts, if not big.

People are actually here on this lovely planet to be happy. Why doesn't he just do something that makes him happy? It not only gives him a feeling of importance but also he gets an identity of who he really is. This is so important because he will always be asked by people: What do you do for a living? In fact his identity is required everywhere he goes.

Therefore, I reinforce my statement that people should do what they love and convert it to a lucrative income. It doesn't matter if he is already earning a lot. He just cannot stay idle - rather he needs to make most of his time of his life on this earth fruitfully. Only then he gets to identify himself as: "I am the manager of ABC company" or "I am a writer" or "I work in the HR department of so & so organization". Dear reader, do you get my point?
