After huge success of apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 10. Here’s what we think the iPhone 11 could be like – or should that be iPhone XI? Apple may not call the iPhone 11, in place of selecting to go for the iPhone XI or – more simply – the iPhone. When will Apple release its follow-up to the iPhone 8 and X? We look all the rumours about the release date, new features, price and technical specifications of the 2018 iPhone - which may be called iPhone 11, XI or X Plus
The rumours come just days after Apple released the iPhone X, the phone it heralded as the future. And it tells that branding might be correct, with the reported model taking plenty of sign from the newly released phone. Apple has only just launched the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X, but we're already looking ahead to the 2018 updates. In this article we tell you about the advance rumours or opinions about the new iPhones expected to launch in end of summer next year, whether they're called iPhone 11, iPhone XI, iPhone X Plus.
Apple hasn’t really bucked the trend of announcing its major iPhones at its September event. The iPhone 11 release will be no different either. This means in September 2018, we will be looking at a brand new iPhone 11 or iPhone XI. Just like the current phone's front-facing, selfie camera can detect the depth of what it's looking at, the new phone will be able to do the same out of its back.
Release date
Apple releases new iPhones each year in end of summer, and we expect the iPhone 11 to be reveal in September 2018. But we don't know how many new iPhones Apple will be launching in 2018. In 2018 we expect that Apple will avoid a alternate launch, with all its new phones coming out at the same time.
What is the size of Screen?
New screen sizes
Sources suggest that Apple's 2018 iPhone updates will include as many as three new screen sizes - including the biggest screen on an iPhone yet.
But in August 2017 a new report pretend the 5.28in model had been canned, and that we will be getting iPhone handsets with 5.85in and 6.46in OLED panels: so that both new models will be larger than the currently largest iPhone screen.
Then in November 2017, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that there will be three new iPhone models. A 6.5in, 6.1in and a 5.8in model.
How much will the iPhone XI cost?
Apple is reportedly working on bringing the prices of the next flagship iPhone down - if a Chinese-language Economic Daily article is to be believed. Allegedly not happy with the high price point of this year's iPhone X, Apple is aiming to bring the premium to the masses. But how? If the iPhone X sells well enough, you can expect the iPhone 11 to sell for a minimum of £999 means 87000 rs. in India. Don’t like the sound of that? Don’t accept the cost of the iPhone X in the first place.
New features?
Rear-facing 3D scanner (for AR)
iPhone 11 will have a 3D scanner on its rear sensor array, citing "people familiar with the plan". This is in addition to - and distinct from - the existing TrueDepth scanner on the front, which is used for Face ID, Animoji and similar features, and which "relies on a structured-light technique that projects a pattern of 30,000 laser dots onto a user's face and measures the distortion".
New Chip
We’ll see a new version of Apple’s “A”-series of mobile chips. It’s most likely this will be the A12 chip, but it could be another A11 with a stupid name like “Bionic”.
Camera
The iPhone X does make bigger leaps than other numbered entries, bringing in optical image stabilisation (OIS) and using two 12-megapixel sensors instead of one 12- and one 8-megapixel sensor. It’s likely the iPhone 11 will just use this same setup but make improvements to the software used for the camera instead.
Long-range wireless charging
The wireless charging you get with the iPhone 8 is the kind, commonplace with today's technology's standards, where you still have to physically place the device on a charging mat. It's convenient, but not exactly a gamechanger, since the two elements have to be in contact.
Steve Rizzone, CEO of Energous, spoke to The Verge before CES 2017 and dropped some major hints about an exclusive "key strategic partnership" that the company signed a couple of years back and which has delayed the launch of its wireless charging tech... which has a range of 15 feet.
Touch ID display
Apple is understood to be exploring the possibility of integrating the Touch ID fingerprint scanner into the display of a smartphone or tablet. In fact, Apple filed a patent describing a Touch ID display back in January 2013.
5G
One of the landmarks in iPhone history was the inclusion of 3G in its second-generation model; with the launch of the iPhone 5 Apple fans got 4G as well. Now it seems that 5G could be on its way, if testing works out. 5G will deliver faster cellular internet connections, but the details remain fuzzy: currently, there are no standards for 5G, although many companies are working towards agreeing on technology and specifications.
Design
Ahead of an iPhone launch designers and illustrators around the world put their brains to the task of imagining radical new designs. (Of course, it's one thing to decide how a device should look and quite another to actually execute that as a practical object; so don't assume these are likely to bear any great resemblance to the real thing.
Conclusion
Apple was granted a patent for "Electronic devices with sidewall displays", which could lead to future iPhones with displays around the sides and edges as well as on the front. The patent suggests that the sidewall displays could be an extension of the main touchscreen, and they could have interactive or touch-sensitive portions. Let see what apple brings in upcoming 2018 and in future.
