Those who want to secure their WhatsApp chat from the outsiders there is good news for all them Whatsapp finally bring fingerprint lock feature for the Android users after the iOS. The feature is now available on the latest Android beta version 2.19.221.
Firstly it was introduced in iOS and after that, it comes in Android which is disabled by default you need to enable it in Settings-Account-privacy-fingerprint lock. Many people worried about the data leak but you don’t have to worry because fingerprint data cannot be accessed by the WhatsApp it uses Android APIs, therefore, no information is collected or sent to Whatsapp servers.
Along with that, there is also a new option which is named as ‘show content in notification’ in which users can decide whether they want to show or hide a message or sender's name in the notification panel.
For this feature, you need to update your WhatsApp from the Google play store and if you don’t see this feature after the update then reinstall your app after taking chat backup from the previous app.
After activating the fingerprint lock you need to use fingerprint authentication to unlock the app and it comes with 'Automatically lock’ option in which you can set the lock timings after 1minutes, 30 minutes.
You can see this new feature in the latest Android beta version and it will soon available for all the users.
