As it is the start of the new year, everyone is excited to know what new is in store in the field of technology. What does the future has in store for the people.
Of course, A.I. was among the hottest topics discussed. We already know that two other power CEOs, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are highly divided in their opinion about the topic. While Zuckerberg is not worried about the advancement of AI and thinks it will only benefit the human race no matter how far the advancement may go, Elon Musk is of the view that it should be a matter of big concern for us.
Here again while Pichai has a laid back view on this topic, Susan Wojciciki on the other hand also thinks that we need to be careful when dealing with the field of AI. Here is what she has to say on this topic.
“I’m not personally scared,” said Wojcicki. “We live in a time of important technological change and we need to communicate what we’re doing.”
Not only will government need to play a role, he said, but it is also “going to be important to continuously train people.” Whereas two or three decades ago, people would go to school and that would serve them through their careers, he said “that’s not going to be the case any longer.”
Another threat that is widely publicized with the technological advancement is the huge reduction in jobs as AI, automation and machines take up most of the roles. So the CEOs said that the advancement in technology must be made but with caution and responsibility.
