5 Best JavaScript Stacks for your next Web Development project

in #technology7 years ago (edited)

The popularity of JavaScript is constantly growing. Several years ago it was quite simple to choose a tool for web development. Nowadays there are too many libraries and frameworks, and it is very easy to get confused when you are not a specialist. We'll tell you about 5 best JavaScript stacks for web development.

Every year, JavaScript is becoming more and more popular, and today many developers take this language as a basis for creating a website or application. Most recently jQuery was at the top of everything, but now its leading position is undoubtedly falling. So, let’s learn more about the best JavaScript stacks in 2018.

ReactJS

This JavaScript stack does not work with the functional part of the site, but it does an excellent job of creating the user interface for any web application. React is created and maintained by Facebook, which uses this framework in Instagram and Facebook websites. It demonstrates that ReactJS can be used in high-loaded projects.

React is not so easy to learn, but the applications written on it are user-friendly, can cope with high user traffic, and they can easily be edited at any moment.

Angular JS

The AngularJS framework allows you to create not only the web but also the desktop and mobile applications. Developed by Google, it has lots of supporters and a huge developer community.

Angular was built on TypeScript by Microsoft and its major goal is to simplify the work for programmers of large companies. The advantages are the rapid code writing, as well as the ability to easily test it. In addition, it is incredibly convenient to create single-page applications. You can find Angular on many big and well-known resources.

Meteor.js

This framework is able not only to provide a "nice appearance", working with front-end part of the project but also to deal with the back-end part: databases, business logic, and other things. It is widely used by large companies like Mazda, Honeywell, IKEA and many others.

Meteor.js allows you to connect to the database without wasting your time, is it uses the same programming language. Another benefit of using the framework is that the developer can apply changes in real time. It means that you won’t have to manually apply changes and wait until the server side renders the front-end part. In general, it is an excellent framework for creating powerful web apps with back-end part.

Ember.js

Ember.js is famous for its several excellent features: the framework is quite easy to learn, so you can start writing your first app very soon; moreover, you can find a lot of learning resources and community support. The framework is great for creating full-featured web services. It is used by many popular companies, such as Nordstrom, Kickstarter, LinkedIn, Netflix and others.

Until recently, Ember was considered the best, although today Angular and React became more popular, and they outranked it. However, this does not make Ember.js worse. Many programmers use the stack as the main framework to develop a site or web application, and this is a quite reasonable decision!

Vue.js

An interesting framework that combined the best features of Angular, Ember, and ReactJS. Moreover, it provides not only attractive interface design but also it’s notably faster than its competitors.

The performance of Vue.js is really better, but the code organization is slightly worse. Therefore, it is ideal for small sites where the fast loading and performance is important, and you will not have to fix something on 200 website pages.

Now you are well-informed.

Yes, now you familiar with 5 best JavaScript stacks for web development. Depending on your goals, you can choose the most suitable framework.

Very interesting read. I would love to hear your thoughts on NodeJS as well, as I find it a very useful tool for backend development.

NodeJS - the best part about these javascript libraries is when you start learning them, they come pre-packaged along with node js - like their starter packs. That gives you a good idea on strength of NodeJS. I have personally been using Node for last 3 years and I have used Weblogic, webspher and tomcat in the past. I seem to love NodeJS.

For me it is React but better yet Elm :)

I loved React, infact I created 3 real world apps. The best, React Native works for you if know React. I haven't tried Elm as yet. May be soon.

Angular.js will be the first choice!!

After using React and Angular, I learnt Vue and I think it is pretty light weight. You should try it.
