Storj is different from the likes of Dropbox because the storage is entirely decentralized. None of your files are accessible from any one location, and all your files are end-to-end encrypted. Storj also allows you to become a part of the decentralized storage infrastructure by renting your hard drive space and earn some crypto in reward. It's super easy to set up, whether to store your own files or rent your hard drive space, it's open source and secure.
Companies like Dropbox, Google (Drive) and Microsoft (OneDrive) can not be trusted to securely store your files. Dropbox is known to punish because they store copyrighted music, which means they have full unrestricted access to the contents of your files, which is completely unacceptable. Cloud storage should be private and secure, which means auditable end-to-end encryption.
