Bangladesh has won the Google Local Guide Community Prize Search Engine this year. The Google Local Guide Summit is held in the United States from October 10 to 12. In this summit, from around two thousand applications, 150 people from 62 countries of the world were given the opportunity to participate. The experts took part in about 15 different subjects. The Google Local Guide Award is given for 16 categories per year. This year the Bangladesh Local Guide Community has won the Best Community Award. Bangladesh Local Guide Moderator Mahbub Hasan received the prize. Besides, Sonia Binte Khorshed took the Best Suviane Award. The summit was a three-day seminar on social and IT issues, Google map-based social services strategy. The theme of this Summit was to emphasize the importance of doing some of the physical disabilities in technology, emphasis on image processing, artificial intelligence, user-generated content.

Vice President of Google Maps Luis André Breso gave the opening speech. A local guide is Google Map based service. By which the details and other benefits of the map can be displayed. Bangladesh Local guide has been doing this since late 2013. In more than four years, more than 75 meetings have been completed. Including coding sessions, public toilets, Google Map connections, various spectacular travel destinations and their history, food crawls, IOTs etc. Apart from this, Google provides solutions to Google Map-related problems in Facebook and Google Plus communities. Bangladesh Local Guide was ranked fourth among the top 10 in the Google Local Guide Survey in 2015. Currently, this community has more than eight thousand members.
