How different will the world look in 30 years?

Let's go forward in time to the year 2050, and bear in mind that it is only 33 years from now.

Your televisions / screens will know what you like and change channels as you enter the room, your car will be driverless, and digital assistants or Robots will ensure that your household runs smoothly. I am sure we can all come up with some ideas of what the future will be like. One thing is for sure though… AI and Robots are a part of our future.

Moore's law

Moore's law is the observation that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years. The observation is named after Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel, whose 1965 paper described a doubling every year in the number of components per integrated circuit and projected this rate of growth would continue for at least another decade.

Well, if we look back around 20 years, we are in the dotcom boom or bubble. It was really an exciting time to live, just as we are in the middle of another technology evolution, which will surely be mentioned in history. Why do I want to look 20 years back? Well that was before Google and very long before Facebook. So much has changed in the past 20 years, and we are now standing before the most exciting times of all of our lifetimes.

In my opinion, work as we know it will become redundant for most of us, as we will have smart cities, smart factories and yes sure, it will need some human oversight. But these cities and factories will be able to make decisions based on historic data. And that is where AI will in my opinion become part of our future.

Companies like Amazon and Google are lying the foundation with things like Alexa and Google Home. These devices are the forerunners of some exciting technologies and devices.

I have written before about the Healthcare industry, which will probably be influenced in the not too distant future. Robots or Machines, will be much more accurate at operating patients than any human can be. The healthcare industry is set for change, as is the financial industry and many others.

For example:

Leading media companies are already using "AI journalists' to produce simple economics and sports stories from data and templates created by their human counterparts.

Blondeau's firm Sentient Technologies has already successfully used AI traders in the financial markets.

In partnership with US retailer Shoes.com, it created an interactive "smart shopper", which uses an algorithm that picks up information from gauging not just what you like, but what you don't, offering suggestions in the way a real retail assistant would.

In healthcare, the firm worked with America's MIT to invent an AI nurse able to assess patterns in blood pressure data from thousands of patients to correctly identify those developing sepsis - a catastrophic immune reaction - 30 minutes before the outward onset of the condition more than 90 percent of the time in trials.

"It's a critical window that doctors say gives them the extra time to save lives," Blondeau says, but concedes that bringing such concepts to the masses is difficult.

"The challenge is to pass to market because of regulations but also because people have an intrinsic belief you can trust a doctor, but will they trust a machine?" he adds.

If things are happening so fast now already, what will the world look like in 30 Years from now?

Happy Steeming!

Everything is now online. The world without a network is not the world. What would happen if the network disappeared? I think this would be a big problem for most people

I bet we will evolve into the Network.

I am connected 24/7

And I need MORE !

totally interconnected world would be :D

agreed

I had a lot of fun reading your article.

I'm really looking forward to the future. There has been so much going on in recent years that there will be so much, if not more, in the years to come.

I am glad to have been born in this age. I'm experiencing the whole revolution of technology, you too!

@cryptogainer, his article is one of the best so far.

I love this stuff and can't get enough!

your article is always interesting! keep it up .

Very interesting!

Blockchain and the paradigm shift of measuring value - augmented by social impact entrepreneurship.

Augmented reality. Transportation. Information. Energy sustainability. Plant food.

We are transitioning to the Digital Side!

Am very happy in how technology has changed the world and continues to do so. However, we have gone backwards in many things. We do not value God anymore and human relationships are going down the drain. We relate better with machinery. @jacor

This is brilliant! @jacor

interesting

Follow and upvote the post , lets steem ..... here a funny way to get free bitcoins , take care with invest plz .... every day free bitcoins on the wallet ...greets and have a nice day ...
......

how long have the mining company being in existence ? i dont want to partner with people that will run with my money please. hope they are trust worthy? @sven

I'm investing in Steem.

I am always worried if I will be able to keep up thinking of 3D printing, IoT, AI and so much more, wonder where it will end!

there is still the negative aspect of global warming with all the new tech coming in place we should not forget to be environmental cautious, would be great if all our industry didnt require burning of fuel but rather solar power or wind and the aspect of the past used to determine the future, that would be great if only history was actually kept safely rather than looked down on these days

That's a pretty crazy thought. I work for Nashua Central and was actually speaking with my sister about jobs that would be obsolete in the next few years, and its just mind blowing what is happening in technology. Thanks for the post man! definitely worth the follow

50 years later, crypto will become a means of exchange. AI take all human job and food are all lab culture. That time we have everything, human become useless even the reproduction may done on lab, just a wild guess!

Great works, I wish you success

@shihabieee, please wish me success as well

Imagine the state of bitcoin in 30 years!

yeah, cool post

@jacor I think robot and robot will be everywhere as the Hollywood movies are presenting such movies.

But that is not the case in all parts of the world. Somewhere there will be no water to drink by the year 2050. Clean air will be hard to find. Its a great discussion to find out how you feel to help to make the world

Hmmmm, Just thinking too how the world will look like. So many inventions will come up. From what is happening now it is really going to be exciting. Meanwhile steem and steem blockchain dollar will be the official money.
Nice post

The World Is Going To End All The Animals will be wiped out and air will be really contaminated due to deforestation of the Amazon

interesting :)

in 30 years, the world will still have some apple trees most probably :))

meh, with all the technophobia manifesting in the west I don't see a lot of AI and Robots in 30 years. Maybe Virtual Reality will be the major form of gaming and crypto kills the old currencies, but I don't see much else happening

we will see what will happen in the future. ıf we will see :)

Some of us still alive today can recall life before before supermarkets, before television, before computers. There was no such word as 'technology' then, either! Yet we have had to adapt to the world as it is now, and our grandchildren will have to do the same. One thing is for sure: whatever man can imagine he can eventually create, in some form or other.

I'm just going to write a comment so I can see it when I'm 66 in 2050

I like the idea of algorithms and robots picking up what you don't like.

I can't believe i don't have my Mattel Hover Board. I have been waiting 30 years!

Very Nice Post. Follow Me @andrisyahreza

There's a current trend that has been recognized by financial analysts: decentralization. There are a number of companies whose annual sales (and stock prices) are on the rise, and they all are geared to deliver products to your home. Some call it the "stay at home" economy.

E-commerce has provided a way to buy things online and have them delivered to your front door. Now there 's a movement to put AI agents (with voice recognition) in your living room to be able to take purchase requests. In many places, you can order groceries online and have them delivered. Delivery services are popping up that will gladly bring other items to your door and run errands (prescriptions from the local pharmacy, meals from restaurants that do not ordinarily deliver).

I would watch the stocks of companies doing e-commerce, shipping, local errand/delivery services , streaming TV and movies, computer games, and expect them to continue to rise.

I think is basically impossible to imagine, or it will be just exactly as it is right now, but with faster computers and phones. 😅
