When I was 14, my legs were twisted in at 90 degree angles so dramatically, that the doctors told me there were going to "flat break" them, twist them around, and pin them back together for a year, to fix them.

Doesn't that sound fun? ... Well, so it did for my so called "friends" too. and guess what: they laughed.

On top of that, they told me I would never run competitively again. Just so happens, the only thing I really cared about at the time, was...RUNNING and never giving up.

Now.

When I think of all the things I am most grateful for in my life, this is one.

Why?

Because THIS was the moment that made me so mad I tripled my cross country running practice...

Which resulted in my legs turning themselves around and "fixing" themselves...

Which in turn meant that not only did I not have the surgery, but I ended up winning races for my school and setting the record for their cross-country course...

SO - in the end, this is an example of a "BAD" thing ending up being a "GOOD" thing for you - if only because it makes you TOUGHER ;-)
